I just bought a Vapour Genie. Its a product that advertises itself for Tabaco, though I have bought mine for pot. The reason I post is that I'm getting one for my Mother In-law. She has a chronic smoking habit that she's desperate to quit, but cant - for various reasons. The Vapour Genie, I can assue you, is not usefless. Expensive for what it is Yes, but very good. I have been smoking bowls of pot for years and at 37 am getting worried about my lung health. So I have vowed to try a vapourizer or quit. Thankfully the vapourizer works! Let me stop some rumour;
1) Its really easy to use, so dont worry about that. If you have coordinated hands, you can use it.
2) It takes a few goes to use well. But then its easy. By the 3rd go you should have it licked.
3) There are fumes. I have tested them under the bathroom light in the mirror to see what I exhale. No scientific I know but interesting. 1st thing. You notice fumes as you exhale - but it is very misty and doesent settle under the light. It dissipates very easily. 2nd thing. It doesent smell much at all, if at all. I asked the wife to smell and she (who doesent smoke anything) couldnt smell anything. If I smoke a bowl in the house it FILLS the house with smoke. With this - nothing.
4) I've been proper stoned off it 3 times. The last time my best go with the VG. It definitley releases chemical compounds from the herb - no question. It seems efficient too.
Point being, if it works for weed than I'm certain it must work for Tobaco. I'm going to get some pipe tabaco to try it since the VG also leaves you with the taste of the herb in your mouth - it might be nice with tabaco!

I cannot say with 100% certainty that it is safe. I just dont know. I can say that at worst it produces a fraction of the fumes from a combustion process. Therefore: It must be a lot healthier for you.

GotVape.com are liars.

They claim "1-5 day air shipping" when it's actually priority mail, which was sent by truck. They also claim the absolute lowest price, or they'll match it. I called them for a price match and they said "that vendor is selling it for less than the minimum allowed price so we won't match it."

The reason that the vaporbuddy manufacturers remain invisible is because they are a fly-by-night, disreputable company. And they know they are violating our patent and will be sued if they set up an operation in the US, Canada or Europe.

For the record, vaporgenie is doing very well, not not losing significant sales to the vaporbuddy. Unlike vaporbuddy, vaporgenie is easily accessible and provides a product warranty.

We dont think the vaporbuddy is superior, of course. However, we are working on a metal version (stainless steel) for people that prefer metal to wooden pipes.

Wood has some nice features: it is very lightweight, durable, and it does not conduct heat.

Another good idea is to try vaping a clove cig. It is spicy and makes your lips tingle a bit.

Has anyone read this article posted at GotVape.com? This article contains both reports conducted independently at the request of VaporGenie.

Thanks for posting this about my method of tobacco vaporization. I have recently lowered the vape temerature to 340F. I have limited the amount of actual cigarettes to about a pack a week. If anyone has any experiences let me know. I feel like the only person in the world doing this!

In response to Jeff - I'm curious what the manufactures of the VaporBuddy have to say about this. I can't seem to find any information on the company... why don't they speak out about the lead in the VaporBuddy? Why don't they have any public presence whatsoever?

Ok, you don't like the vaporgenie, that's fine. But how can you be so sure your vaporbuddy is constructed safely? Have you had it analyzed? I'd be a little more concerned.

FWIW, most of the reports I've heard put the VG ahead of the VB in terms of effectiveness.

Those pipe add on 'vap' things are useless..
They are selling a concept and a pice of hardware that may make it slightly easier..

Try vaping without it.. sue the same techneque that the 'vapor genie' has on a bowl of 'tobacco' since apparentally it takes a skill to get the lighter in the right spot..
All this argueing over the product is probably a distraction that they are both useless and the only usefulness if the guides in where to told your lighter.
